TERMS AND CONDITIONS
COVID Policy:
For weekly classes, n person classes adhere to all health/safety policies and procedures put in place by school, studio, or local government.
If CIA/SDD decide independently to close due to health/safety concerns, classes will be held at their regular time on Zoom.
There are no refunds if our classes move online.
Federal Holidays/ School Holidays:
Capital Irish Arts/Shannon Dunne Dance DC classes follow the DCPS school calendar, and do not hold classes on days when school is not in session (Federal holidays, professional development, week-long breaks, etc). These dates are planned in advance, and will be listed on the registration page and welcome emails.
Classes in other locations will follow the studio calendar or local public school calendar. These dates will be listed on the registration page and welcome emails.
Inclement Weather Policy:
During regular in-person instruction, Capital Irish Arts and Shannon Dunne Dance DC follow CHAW and/or DCPS for school closures for weather closings. Other locations follow the local public school for closings. If after school activities are cancelled for any reason, class will be held on ZOOM that day, during regular class time.
Withdrawal Policy:
Requests for withdrawal must be received in writing, to info@shannondunne.com, and will be processed no earlier than the date the email was received. The request can not be processed retroactively.
TERMS for WITHDRAWAL :
Semester/Long-term classes: CIA/SDD allows withdrawal without penalty during the first week of the semester only. The amount issued is the pro-rated tuition less any credit card fees applied to the transactions.
After the first week, if a student can not continue the class for the remainder of the semester due to health, injury, or family circumstance, a credit in the amount of pro-rated tuition less any credit card fees applied to the transactions. The credit must be used in the next semester or is forfeited. Credits are good for any program within Shannon Dunne Studios, not including Outschool classes.
Short run/one-off camps and workshops: If a student can not attend a workshop due to health, injury, or family circumstance, a credit will be given in the amount of the tuition (less web fees), as long as the request to withdraw is received in advance of the event. Short run/multi-day camps will be prorated accordingly. If there is no communication before the event, the student is considered a no-show, and tuition is forfeit.
Requesting withdrawal from semester long classes: The request must be submitted in writing to info@shannondunne.com. The date of the email is considered the date of cancellation unless specified to be a later date.
If a student registers after the start of the semester, the date they register is considered the semester start date, unless another arrangement is made in advance. All other cancellation rules apply.
Behavioral Policy:
Shannon Dunne Studios reserves the right to refuse instruction to any student who can not exhibit appropriate classroom behavior. This includes violence, vandalism, inappropriate language, defiance, general disrespect for the teachers, students or space, or puts students or instructors at risk.
Students who are refused instruction will receive a 50% prorated tuition reimbursement less credit card fees.
