Olwell Flute Makers Visit & Medieval Institute Tailgate

Flute-makers Patrick and Matthew Olwell visited campus as the special guests of the Medieval Institute, featured at their first tailgate of the season.

On Friday, Aedín Clements (Hesburgh Library Special Collections) brought out a selection of books and manuscripts from the O’Neill collectoin.

On Saturday, the Olwells gave special presentations/demonstrations on flute making and traditional Irish music at the Medieval Institute Tailgate. They then joined the ND Céilí Band as the audience joined in Irish social dances.
